Sr. Director of Product Security Engineering

Clay Carter is the Sr. Director of Product Security Engineering at GE Digital and promotes building security into GE’s products that power, move, and cure the world. In his six years at GE he has built security software products, designed secure enclave environments, consulted on multiple acquisitions and divestitures, and led several agile development teams. His current focus is providing security services like code signing and threat modeling to engineering teams across GE. Clay completed his master’s in Systems Engineering at the University of Virginia in 2016 and is an advocate for data-driven security. Prior to GE, Clay led an agile software development team at Genworth Financial and studied Computer Engineering as an undergraduate.
