Industrial Networking Engineer
Daniel Behrens is a Technical Marketing Engineer in Cisco’s Internet of Things business unit which develops switching, routing, wireless and security products for industrial applications.
Prior to his current position, Dan spent over 3 years in various sales roles at Cisco assisting organizations to develop end to end architectures for both IT and OT applications. Before joining Cisco, Dan spent 8+ years at Rockwell Automation supporting Manufacturing and Utilities organizations with hardware, software and networking expertise to enable connected solutions and bridge the gaps between corporate and industrial networks.
Dan is currently pursuing a Masters of Science in Information Security Engineering (MSISE) through the SANS Technology Institute. He achieved a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Cleveland State University as well as maintains several certifications including the Cisco CCNP Routing and Switching, CCNA Industrial, CCNA Data Center, CCNA Security, GIAC Security Essentials ( GSEC ) and GIAC Certified Incident Handler ( GCIH ).
With his limited free time, Dan enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, skiing and fishing. He currently resides near Cleveland, Ohio with his wife and two boys.
