Salvador Trujillo

Head, Industrial Cybersecurity Dept.

Salvador Trujillo is with Ikerlan since 2007. He is currently head of the Industrial Cybersecurity department. He is leading a research team of 35+ people where cybersecurity techniques are applied in industrial control systems. Application domains are in transport, energy, manufacturing, logistics, agrifood, and other industrial sectors. The department focus is on providing end-to-end industrial cybersecurity solutions from the embedded system to the digital platform.

He is leading a number of industrial and research projects, also with publications on the topic. He has been project coordinator of FP7 MultiPARTES and also participated in several European projects. He is author of several peer-reviewed scientific publications in systems and software engineering conferences like ICSE, SPLC, ECMFA, etc. He obtained his Ph.D. for his work on Feature Oriented Model Driven Product Lines in 2007, with research visits to D. Batory at the University of Texas at Austin and to the Fraunhofer IESE. He also holds an Executive MBA degree from ESEUNE Business School and is PMP certified.
