There’s a lot going on at S4. Below are some of the activities that require a signup or are niche events. Of course there is also the sessions on three stages, vulnerability management pavilion, startup pavilion, indoor and outdoor lounges and more.
Birds Of A Feather
The Water Sector and Electric Sector are meeting at 3PM Tuesday on the 2nd Floor (where you picked up lunch). The Manufacturing Sector and Oil & Gas sectors are meeting at 4:30PM Tuesday at the same location. There are discussion topics and facilitators, and the main purpose is to help you meet people in your sector on the first day of S4.
Book Signing / Book Store
Nancy Leveson will be signing copies of her latest book, An Introduction To Safety System Engineering, at 2:30 on Wednesday at the S4 Book Store on the 2nd Floor. S4 is giving away 50 copies of this book.
Charity:Water Campaign and Art Installation
On Tuesday 2PM – 6PM and Wednesday 10:30AM – 2:30PM there will be a 6′ x 4′ mosaic being built on the 4th floor, by the Main Stage and Stage 2. The mosaic is built from 456 pictures of S4 attendees. Come alone or with friends to get your picture taken. We will donate $25 for every picture taken and used in the Mosaic. Of course, we encourage you to contribute to the campaign as well, and we will match your contribution dollar for dollar.
INL’s Blackstart: ICScape (ICS Escape) Room
INL is bringing a new escape room to S4x25. Sign up at this link. With 1,100+ attendees, don’t wait too long to reserve your spot.
My Favorite Metric
Contestants have 3 minutes on the S4 Main Stage to explain their OT Security Metric and why it’s their favorite. “Celebrity” judges will score the contestants. The winner gets $2,000 cash. Second place is $500. Apply to be a contestant at this link.
OT Security Training Pavilion
Have you ever asked, “what OT security training should I attend?” Or “what OT security training should I sent my team to?” The OT Security Training Roundup is designed to help you answer those questions.
It’s simple. On Tuesday from 3PM to 6PM S4 is providing a free table outside the Main Stage and Stage 2 to organizations that qualify and provide OT security training. You can walk up to each trainer, see what they offer, ask questions, and maybe get a discount.
Unsolicited Response (your 5 minutes on Stage)
We close down Stage 2, 2:30 – 3:30 on Thursday, with Unsolicited Response. You can come on stage and speak your piece for 5 minutes (and not a second more). Some are rants, some are pleas, some are new ideas, some are critiques of S4 sessions, and some are funny. Apply to get your 5 minutes in Unsolicited Response on this link.
