We are pleased to announce that MIT Professor Nancy Leveson will keynote at the S4x25 conference, Feb 11-13 in Tampa. If you are in the safety community, you likely already know who Nancy is and might have read some of her books.

I’ve followed her work for years, and considered her as a keynote many times. What made Professor Leveson a must have for S4x25 was her recent lecture at Purdue on a new paradigm for safety. Where increased complexity meant the traditional approaches, even the one’s she has used and wrote about, are becoming untenable. There was a lot of the same problems we see in OT security, and she even worked cybersecurity into her new paradigm.

Of course at S4, she will focus more on OT security and the intersection between safety and security.

We also have arranged a book signing with Professor Leveson’s latest book An Introduction To System Safety Engineering.
