We’re in the final stretch. The S4x26 Call for Presentations (CFP) closes August 31, and this is your last chance to submit your session proposal if you want to be on stage in front of over 1,100 of the world’s top OT security minds.
If you have great research, a big idea, or a perspective that challenges the status quo, now’s the time to send it in. We want to hear from you.
There are two ways to submit:
- Email: cfp@s4xevents.com
- Online: s4xevents.com/cfp
Quick Submission Tips
With a week left, skip the fluff. Don’t spend time writing background paragraphs on OT security. We already know the space. What we want to hear is:
- What’s new?
- Why is it important?
- What exactly will attendees learn or walk away with to help Create The Future?
Specific examples are always better than vague promises. A common mistake we see is a proposal that ends with, “We’ll show you how to solve this problem”—but never actually tells us what the solution is. Even a rough outline helps us evaluate fit.
If your proposal has potential, we’ll ask questions and work with you to refine it. The review process is interactive, not one-and-done.
What We’re Looking For
Here are some of the areas we’re actively seeking submissions for across all three stages:
Main Stage
- Asset owners doing something bleeding-edge (not segmentation, secure remote access, etc.)
- Unique takes on NIS2 (not another “what it is and why it’s important” session)
- Sessions about what security controls you’re not doing and why?
- Cloud-based operations strategy (in-house or outsourced)
- Sector-specific approaches (marine vs. pipelines vs. water vs. healthcare)
Stage 2
- Novel attack or post-exploit techniques (not just vuln disclosure)
- Scalable process variable anomaly detection (we have plenty of examples, but nothing that doesn’t take a big upfront investment for a digital twin or model)
- Metrics for security effectiveness and value (see this week’s article)
- Level 1 security (not bolt-ons; native integration)
- Accelerated recovery strategies (e.g. orchestration)
Stage 3
- Regional or sector-specific security programs
- Unique stories or implementations that don’t fit Main or Stage 2 but are still valuable
If you’re unsure where your idea fits, submit it anyway. We’ll figure out the right home for it.
The Bottom Line
Don’t overthink it. Submit something that is new and important, and we’ll work with you from there. Again:
- Deadline: August 31
- Submit via: cfp@s4xevents.com or s4xevents.com/cfp
