Dr. Eugene Spafford, aka Spaf, is a legend in the security community, and we are honored to have him at S4x23 for an on-stage interview and book signing.
Gene is a Professor in Purdue University’s Dept of Computer Sciences and Executive Director Emeritus of Purdue’s CERIAS. He has a long list of inductions into halls of fame, distinguished service awards, and other honors. In addition to his work at Purdue, Gene has been a senior advisor and consultant on issues of security and intelligence, education, cybercrime and computing policy to a who’s who of major companies, law enforcement organizations, academic and government agencies.
Dale will interview Spaf on the S4x23 Main Stage on Wednesday. There is so much in his speaking and writing that Dale is already beginning his research and prep for the interview.
Later that day at the Cabana Sessions, Spaf will sign copies of his newly released book Cybersecurity Myths and Misconceptions: Avoiding The Hazards and Pitfalls that Derail Us, co-authored with Leigh Metcalf and Josiah Dykstra (and illustrated by his wife Pattie). This will be a great change for you to meet him.
