Call For Presentations (CFP)
The call for presentations remains open until August 31st. Remember that we evaluate proposals as they come in. The earlier you submit, the better your chances. Not only because there are mores slots available. It also reduces the chances that we’ve already selected a similar presentation on your topic.
As of July 9th we have accepted 13 of the 52 presentations we need, 25%. There are also 9 keynotes, 3 per day, but those are invited slots. We have 20 in the maybe column. These are 20 good sessions, but we want to hold out for great and also to see the mix and where there are holes in the agenda before saying yes. We will be reviewing the maybe’s again in early August.
In short, your chances are greatly improved if you get your presentation proposal in before the end of July.
Proof Of Concept (POC) Pavilion
Booz Allen was announced as the POC Pavilion provider, and we released the architecture and details of the OT system in the Pavilion in a livestream with the replay below. The 8 POC Pavilion participants will:
- Define the asset owner problem they are solving in no more than two sentences.
- Define the success criteria. How will we know if they solved the problem?
- Go through a typical POC preparation process prior to S4x26.
- Install their solution on the OT Booz Allen is bringing to S4x26.
- Demo it live and face questions from the S4 moderator and audience.
We have selected and contracted with Cisco/Splunk, Claroty, and Xage as three of the 8 Pavilion Participants. Two others have been selected and are finalizing contracts. This leaves three spots that we, Booz Allen and S4, will be selecting asset owner problems and proposed solutions. This is going to be fun, real, and revealing.
Ticket Sales
Tickets go on sale Sept 15th. If you know you are coming, be ready to buy that day. It will save you $500, and it will give you a chance to get a room at the Loews Miami Beach or Surfcomber. The Loews is an especially sweet deal on the best hotel in South Beach. The room blocks went fast last time we were in Miami South Beach.
This is our last year in Miami South Beach. One of the reasons is the S4 tribe has gotten too large for venues in South Beach. We can hold a maximum of 1,100 attendees at S4x26. We sold out the venue in S4x24, and had to turn people away. We had 1,193 attendees at the larger venue in Tampa this year, even with very few USG and related vendors due to transition. We’re not saying it will sell out in September, October, or even November. I would plan on getting your ticket before year’s end. Of course, we will update ticket status on the site and in the newsletter.
Sponsor Packages
The Prime Rooms, Welcome Party, S4 Cafe, and Birds of a Feather are sold out. We still have some packages available for the Cabana Sessions, and some of the small company (low cost) packages for Lunch and Beer Bash. Contact info@s4xevents.com for details if interested.
